Spring/Fall Internship

BGHN Associates, P.C., a local CPA firm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is seeking a high quality,
driven individual to participate in a part-time paid internship to gain valuable hands-on training
in a variety of attest, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll services.

Opportunities:
1. Gain authentic real-world experience working in an accounting firm.
2. With guidance from staff, execute and prepare well-structured audit documentation.
3. Work as part of a team on assignments to sustain excellent client relationships.
4. Experience working with a variety of clients, both big and small.
5. Develop technical skills through a combination of formal and informal training.
6. Participate in firm activities ranging from sporting events to community service projects.
7. Provide insight into what a future career would look like at our firm.

Requirements/Qualifications for Ideal Candidates:
1. Working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting from accredited university.
2. Enthusiastic, demonstrate a “can do” and “team working” attitude with an ability to learn
    quickly.
3. Proficiency in Word and Excel.
4. Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.
5. Detail-oriented
6. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.

We are very flexible with student schedules but would request 15-20 hours per week toward the
internship.

Rate: $28 per hour
